59 Banned Chinese Apps Alternative

So, you all must know that the Indian Government banned 59 Chinese Apps yesterday. And if that has happened, I must tell my reader the best alternatives. Unlike other people who are covering only popular apps, I would tell the alternatives of all 59 apps.

Before I proceed, I have already made a list where I covered 18 apps on my last list. I would cover those apps in my list too but today I won't write that much about every app as I have 59 apps. But I assure you that you would find the best app for yourself. This is the list of the 59 apps banned in India.

These apps are banned due to security reasons and so I suggest everyone that they uninstall these apps. And you would find the best alternatives here. I have even added Popular Chinese Apps that aren't banned right now.

1. TikTok

Now I don't need an introduction to this app. People come here because monetization is really easy on TikTok. But if you want to earn money, IGTV is a great alternative. Mitron App is getting very popular and it very similar to TikTok. As it grows, monetization will be available there too. Triller and Fireworks are also based on the same concept but they aren't very popular in India. 

2. UC Browser

UC Browser is the worst browser I have ever seen. The news feed is full of garbage and its security is terrible. You can use Chrome which is an awesome browser. Jio Browser is also like UC Browser but it doesn't have a garbage news feed. Bharat Browser (Bluesky Inventions) is also worth a try.  

3. SHAREit & Xender

SHAREit and Xender are file-sharing apps with good features. But you can actually use Jio Switch or Google Files which surprisingly turned out to be much faster in file transfer.

4. Clash of Kings

I have never really played this game but I have played Clash Royale. It is also a very similar game and many people play the game.

5. Likee

Likee is another app like TikTok. IGTV is a great alternative that has monetization. Mitron App is getting very popular and it very similar to TikTok. As it grows, monetization will be available there too. 

6. Shein

Shein is an online store for buying clothes. Myntra and AJIO are some really nice apps for clothes shopping. Most cloth retail chains like Max Fashion and Brand Factory have their online stores. So you can use them too.

7. Kwai

Kwai App is another Chinese Social Media App which is very popular worldwide. But you can use Houseparty instead of this.

8. YouCam Makeup

This is a makeup app and B612 - Beauty Camera is a really nice app you can use instead of this.

9. Helo

Helo is a social networking app that is specifically for India made by the makers of TikTok. You can use ShareChat which is also a very popular app based on a similar concept.

10. Baidu Map

Baidu Map is a navigation app that is now banned and you can use Google Map which is the best Navigation App. It comes pre-installed with all Android Phones and you can even download it for iOS. iOS users also get Apple Maps as an option.

11. DU Battery Saver

It is an app people use for boosting the battery life in their phones. I don't really suggest using battery-saving apps because they affect the performance of the phone. But you can use Kaspersky Battery Saver instead.

12. Mi Community 

Mi Community is an app by Xioami where people can discuss the issues in Xiaomi Phones. If you use a Xiaomi Phone, it would come pre-installed. There is no such alternative of this app but you can use Mi Community from the website.

13. CM Browser

CM Browser is another garbage browser. You can use Chrome which is an awesome browser. Jio Browser is also like UC Browser but it doesn't have a garbage news feed. Bharat Browser (Bluesky Inventions) is also worth a try.

14. ROMWE

ROMWE is a clothing store and it is now banned. Myntra and AJIO are some really nice apps for clothes shopping. Most cloth retail chains like Max Fashion and Brand Factory have their online stores. So you can use them too. 

15. APUS Browser

This is another browser that is now banned. I don't know why people use these browsers. You can use Chrome which is an awesome browser. Jio Browser is also like UC Browser but it doesn't have a garbage news feed. Bharat Browser (Bluesky Inventions) is also worth a try.

16. Virus Cleaner

This is an app people use to scan viruses on their phones. I think that it installs more viruses than it removes. You can use AVG Security, Avast Security or Norton Security.

17. Club Factory

This is a popular e-commerce store that is full of fake products. I suggest using Amazon and Flipkart. They provide good discounts and their service has been good according to my experience.

18. WeChat

This is a chatting app where your chats are strictly monitored by the Chinese Government. So you can use WhatsApp which most smartphone users have.

19. Beauty Plus 

It is an app very similar to YouCam Makeup. Again, you can use B612-Beauty Camera.

20. Newsdog and UC News

Newsdog and UC News are news apps that are now banned. Both are filled with useless news. All news agencies like Zee News, Aaj Tak, Times of India have their apps. You can use the app of the news agency you like the most. You can even use Google News or JioNews for reading your personalized news feed.

21. ES File Manager

It is another file manager I had used a few years ago. All phone have In-Built File Manager and you can use that. But if you don't like that, use Solid File Explorer. Google Files is another file manager which is good.

22. QQ Mail

QQ Mail is a mailing app that is now banned. You can use Gmail App as you can not only add Gmail in this. It supports all the mailing sites. Even Outlook is a great mailing app.


23. QQ Music

This is a music player that has been banned. You can use Google Play Music or VLC Media Player instead of this. I even like Free Music Player (InShot).

24. QQ News Feed

This is another news app made by the QQ Developer. So let's see some other apps. All news agencies like Zee News, Aaj Tak, Times of India have their apps. You can use the app of the news agency you like the most. You can even use Google News or JioNews for reading your personalized news feed.

25. Bigo Live 

This is a live streaming platform that is now banned by the government. If you want to do live streams, Youtube is the most reliable platform. Instagram can also be used for live streaming. Gamers can also use Twitch for live streaming their gameplay.

Nimo TV and Nono Live 

This is another gaming live streaming platform that has become very popular among gamers. They ask gamers to stream on their platforms by offering a huge sum of money. But they never pay the streamers. So I ask all my readers to uninstall this app. And if any gamer is using this for live-stream, you won't ever get your money from these people. I already said that Youtube and Twitch are great for streaming gameplay.

26. Parallel Space 

This is a very popular app cloning app but it is now banned. You can use Clone App (Arty Product) for cloning your app. Note that many phones have this feature by default and if you get your work done with it, don't download third-party apps.

27. Mail Master 

Mail Master is another mailing app that is now banned. You can use Gmail App as you can not only add Gmail in this. It supports all the mailing sites. Even Outlook is a great mailing app.

28. Selfie City & Sweet Selfie

These are two popular camera apps that are now banned in India. B612 - Beauty Camera is a really nice app you can use instead of this.

29. Mi Video Call

This is a video calling app that is now banned. WhatsApp can be used for video calling because most smartphone users use it. Even Google Duo is a great video calling app. It has the best quality among all video calling apps. 

30. WeSync

I really didn't find much about this on the internet. But as the name suggests, it can be used for syncing data. All Android Phones have Google Sync and iPhones have Apple Account for syncing. 

31. Weibo

Weibo is a microblogging site that is very popular in China. It is now banned. I suggest using Twitter instead of this because it is more popular in India. 

32. Viva Video

Viva Video is a video editor that is very easy to use. You can use InShot Video Editor instead of this as it provides very similar functionality. 

33. Meitu 

Meitu is a photo editor that is now banned. You can use Photo Editor Pro (InShot) instead of this.   

34. Vigo Video

This is another TikTok like App. IGTV is a great alternative that has monetization. Mitron App is getting very popular and it very similar to TikTok. As it grows, monetization will be available there too. 

35. New Video Status 

If you use New Video Status, delete it as it is now banned. You can use Story Maker (InShot) as an alternative. InShot even has many more apps that you can try. 

36. DU Screen Recorder

Many people use this app for recording their phone's screen but it is now banned. I suggest using Mobizen Screen Recorder. It has all the features. I have even used Screen Recorder (InShot) and I was quite satisfied with it. 

37. Cache Cleaner & DU Cleaner

If you want to clear the junk files from your phone, DU Cleaner and Cache Cleaner are very popular. But they are now banned. So you can use Nortan Cleaner, Avast Cleaner or AVG Cleaner. 

38. DU Browser

DU Browser is another browser that is now banned. You can use Chrome which is an awesome browser. Jio Browser is also like UC Browser but it doesn't have a garbage news feed. Bharat Browser (Bluesky Inventions) is also worth a try.

39. HAGO

HAGO is an E-Sport App which is now banned. I found Hello Play as an alternative. 

40. Cam Scanner

Cam Scanner is a really good document scanning app that I have also used. But now it is banned and so I suggest using Adobe Scan and Microsoft Lens. Microsoft Lens is even available in the all-in-one Office App. 

41. Wonder Camera

Wonder Camera is another Selfie App with beauty filters that is now banned. B612 - Beauty Camera is a really nice app you can use instead of this.

42. Photo Wonder 

Photo Wonder is a photo editing app that is now banned in India. You can take a look at Photo Editor Pro (InShot) and Collage Maker (InShot) for photo editing. 

43. DU Privacy & Vault-Hide (Wafer Co.)

These are Privacy Vault Apps that are now banned. You can use Vault (New Softwares LLC) as an alternative. You may have trouble finding this you can download it for Android from here.

44. We Meet 

This is a stranger video calling app. I don't suggest using such apps in the first place. But still if you want a stranger video calling app, Azar App is an option. 

45. Clean Master

Clean Master was very popular a few years ago but it was removed long back from the Play Store. So you can use Nortan Cleaner, Avast Cleaner or AVG Cleaner. 

46. Baidu Translate

As the name suggests, Baidu Translate can be used for translation. Delete this and simply use Google Translate. 

47. QQ International 

QQ International is a global chat app that is now banned. Telegram is a very similar app you can use instead of this. 

48. QQ Security Center

QQ Security Center is a security app. But I think that it installs more malware than it removes. I think that it installs more viruses than it removes. You can use AVG Security, Avast Security or Norton Security.

49. QQ Launcher

QQ Launcher is a custom launcher. But now it is banned and so I suggest using Nova Launcher. It offers a ton of customizations and features. 

50. U Video

U Video is another app used for making Instagram Stories and Staus. But it is now banned and so you can use Story Maker (InShot) as an alternative. 

51. Vidmate

VMate is another app like TikTok that is now banned. IGTV is a great alternative that has monetization. Mitron App is getting very popular and it very similar to TikTok. As it grows, monetization will be available there too. 

52. V Fly Status Video

V Fly Status Video is another status-making app that has been banned. You can use Story Maker (InShot) for making status. For downloading the status, InShot provides apps like Status Saver for WhatsApp, Story Saver for Instagram. 

53. Mobile Legends 

Mobile Legends is a very popular MOBA Game. But now it is banned and so you can play Heroes Arena (uCool).

54. QQ Player 

QQ Player is a video player that is now banned. So you can use VLC for Android instead of this. 

55. Turbo VPN (Not Yet Banned)

Turbo VPN is a free VPN with terrible security. It is not yet banned but you should uninstall this. So you can actually use Proton VPN. It is also a free VPN with good security. 

56. WPS Office (Not Yet Banned) 

This is an office app by Kingsoft. It is not yet banned but you should uninstall this. You can use either MS Office Suite or Google Office Suite.

57. Live Me (Not Yet Banned) 

Live Me is another live streaming platform not yet banned. If you want to do live streams, Youtube is the most reliable platform. Instagram can also be used for live streaming. Gamers can also use Twitch for live streaming their gameplay.

58. U Dictionary (Not Yet Banned) 

This is a dictionary app very popular among Indians. But it is a Chinese app that is not yet banned. Dictionary.com, Oxford Dictionary and HinKhoj Dictionary are some great dictionaries. For translation, Google Translate is the best. 

59. App Lock (Do Mobile Labs) (Not Yet Banned) 

App Lock is used for locking our apps. It is not yet banned in India. Many phones have this feature by default but if it doesn't, you can use Norton Lock. 

60. Snaptube (Not Yet Banned)

If you use Snaptube for downloading YouTube Videos, uninstall it. It is not banned but is a Chinese App. You can use Video Downloader (Inshot) instead of this.
